Workshops
Overview
Medea Electronique has developed a series of workshops that explore the different artistic practices that members of the team specialize in. These range from video art through to stop motion animation, from soundscape composition through to improvised music.
The focus is generally on creativity rather than technical skills (although participants gain valuable understanding of such skills as part of the creative process). There is also a consistent emphasis on cross-arts practices, integrating different spheres of activity into one creative whole.
While Medea Electronique frequently makes use of the latest high technology tools – which can often be very expensive to get hold of – the workshops always aim to show participants how extremely creative things can be done with ‘low’ technology that does not cost the earth (and is quite often in fact free).
