Short Bio

Born in Poland in 1980, Michael now lives and works in Brighton, UK.

Michael’s work is characterised by the exploration of connecting points between the human perception of the world and the experience of reality through static and moving images. He is in constant pursuit of how people, places, shapes and colours contribute to the production of space and how this can be extended and translated into creative communication.

His process is based on the deconstruction of human perception and relation to space and time. The objective is to generate alternative viewpoints by shifting spatiotemporal experiences and their significance, translating these into elements and triggers outside of their representation and providing the audience with new possible concepts.

With a background in still image photography Michael’s journey has taken him from moving images to forms such as video art, three-dimensional installations and audiovisual performances. This multi-disciplinary experimentation using a combination of a set of artistic and technical tools has been his method of exploration, allowing him to present his creative process with diversity.

Michael is a co-founder of the visual label and VJ collective Deadpixel and a member of the Medea Electronique synergy of Artist.
