Anastasia X

Anastasia Chrysanthakopoulou (natryx or Anastasia X.)

Artist statement:

Stories are needed to be told… In all tales there is material that can be perceived as a mirror reflecting the illness or the well-being of one’s inner life. ‘But Storytelling and ‘craft making’ is not just for oneself, not just a landmark of one’s own understanding. It is also a map for those who follow; paraphrasing the words of Clarissa Pincola Estés (cantadora).

Field of interest:

I find Storytelling as one of my deepest and more valuable creative sources and desires. It is often my only  emotional language outlet, expressed through my preferred mediums which are sound, visuals, movement/dance, photography, painting and crafts.

Keywords: Sonic arts, Screen dance, Interactive Arts, Custom Instruments, Stop motion/Pixilation, Free Improvisation.
